Indonesia's Online Visas for Singaporean Visitors
Electronic visas for Indonesia were introduced to simplify the visa application process. There are 2 different electronic visas.
Indonesia Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) | Tourist Visitor Visa |
---|---|
Stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days with the e-VOA | Stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days with the Tourist Visitor Visa |
The following information applies to both the e-VOA and the Tourist Visitor Visa:
- Validity — 90 days
- Number of entries — single entry
- Purpose of travel — tourism, business, transit, government visits
You’ll be assigned the correct visa type based on the arrival and departure dates. Your total length of stay is calculated: For stays of 60 days or more, the Visitor Visa is issued.
Do Singaporean children need an Indonesian visa?
All Singaporean nationals visiting Indonesia must have a visa, including minors.
Children and infants must have their own e-VOA or Tourist Visitor Visa. This is the case even if they are included in their parent’s passport.
Parents or guardians may complete the online application on behalf of their dependents.
Advantages of the Indonesian eVisa for Singapore passport holders
Although Singaporean passport holders enjoy visa exemption for Indonesia for up to 30 days, there are several advantages to getting the eVisa.
You cannot extend your stay past 30 days if you enter Indonesia visa-free. You must leave the country before the end of the 30-day period.
The online visas give you the following options:
- With the e-VOA, you can extend your visit for a further 30 days
- With the Tourist Visitor Visa, you can stay for up to 60 days
This makes the online visas ideal for mid-length stays in Indonesia.
